Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CalCalGo collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the CalCalGo mobile application and related services.

1. Information we collect

2. Google sign-in data

If you choose “Continue with Google,” CalCalGo uses Google OAuth for authentication. We request only basic identity information needed to sign you in, such as your Google account email address and basic profile information available through the sign-in flow.

CalCalGo does not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, or Google Calendar through Google sign-in.

3. How we use information

4. AI-assisted features

When you use AI-assisted food estimation, the text or image information you submit may be sent to service providers that process the request in order to return a nutrition estimate.

5. Service providers

CalCalGo relies on third-party providers for functions such as authentication, database hosting, transactional email delivery, AI processing, app distribution, and subscription processing. These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to provide their services.

6. Data storage and security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Where supported, you may request deletion of your account and associated data.

8. Your choices

You can choose whether to use Google sign-in, whether to submit photos or descriptions for AI-assisted estimation, and whether to grant optional device permissions.

9. Children

CalCalGo is not intended for children below the minimum age required to use the service in their jurisdiction unless appropriate consent is provided where legally permitted.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.
